Help Support Us By Getting The Word Out!

Please spread the word!
Humanity Marketing and Branding
is trying to get the word out about some great wines
that could help support Marrakech!

(including the excellent wines served at our last Gala)

Nicole & Friends and Establo - the wines that
give back to people with special needs

If local retailers begin to carry these wines,
Marrakech will receive proceeds
from the sale of each bottle!

So to help support this effort they are holding a
   Wine Tasting
of Exquisite Lines of Chilean Wines

this Saturday from

1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

at Amity Wines
95 Amity Road in New Haven!

Please share with your friends, go taste the wines
and help get the word out!

Who is Tierra Petty?

Tierra Petty of Waterbury, CT is the Director of Human Resources for Marrakech! She was promoted into this new position in July 2015 and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Human Resources Department.

Tierra has worked for Marrakech for over 7 years, and we thought we knew her, but we were wrong!  Did you know that she writes poetry and short stories and also sings? But don't ask her to share this hidden talent with you...she says she never shares her writing and rarely sings in front of anyone but family!

Here are six other things you may not have known about Tierra:

1. The most exciting place she has ever traveled:
Tierra has traveled to London, England and Paris, France.

2. Does she have any pets?
Yes she does! She has a Teacup Chihuahua named Sassy and a Beta Fish named Gus.

3. One life milestone she is excited for:
Retirement! She would love to spend more of her time doing volunteer work.

4. What’s one thing she has checked off her “Bucket List”:
Tierra para-sailed during a vacation to Dominican  Republic and said that it was fabulous!

5. If she could have lunch with any historical figure, which would it be:
It would be Madam C. J. Walker, the first female self-made millionaire in America. Ms. Walker developed a line of beauty and hair products specifically for African American women. She also taught other black women to be independent, hard workers. Tierra says she would love to sit down with her if for nothing more than to say thank you!

6. What she loves about her job here at Marrakech
She says, "It’s never boring; Marrakech is constantly growing and changing. With that growth comes new opportunities. It’s been a journey!"

We're happy to have Tierra as part of our Human Resources team and thank her for all the great work she does for Marrakech and it's employees!
